Information & Communication Technologies

Here in St. Mary's we have a positive and active e-Learning culture in our school. ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) is the term used to describe all digital technologies used in education; it ranges from computers and software to digital cameras and printers and includes digital content resources.

All 11 classrooms are equipped with IWBs (Interactive Whiteboards) and broadband internet. We have a PC lab with 18 PCs. We also have a laptop trolley with 16 laptops. Teachers have access to visualisers, digital cameras and a digital video camera. The learning support teachers have 3 iPads to support their teaching.

The staff in St. Mary's uses ICT across all areas of the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning. Students are given the opportunity to acquire digital literacy skills and to adapt safe and ethical use of digital technologies in their daily lives.


The PDST have compiled a list of educational apps for IPAD and IPHONE. They have divided them into literacy, numeracy and SESE. They can be accessed from the link below.
