Greenschool News Sept 2016

This year the children in Mrs.Farren's 6th class have organised a Gardening Club in conjunction with The Greenschool Committee. Once a week, our hardy gardeners don their wellington boots and head out to the vegetable patch where they are working hard at digging, weeding and raking.Earlier in September, they planted lettuce and radishes and they are observing their progress and growth. Well done to all our green - fingered gardeners!

For the month of September, the Green School Committee led by Mrs. Farren , Ms. Conroy and Mr. McClean have been walking to school on Wednesdays. Each Wednesday, the teachers have been leading a group of children from Lisroland to the school, taking care to exercise caution at all times as a lot of traffic builds up in the area on the school route. We congratulate the parents and children who joined us over the past few weeks and we hope that WOW continues for the rest of the term as we encourage parents to park at Lisroland and walk their children to school.
