There was great excitement in the school on Monday 24th September when the St Brides Ladies paid a visit to show off their silverware. This was their first ever Championship success and the whole school gathered in Halla Setanta to cheer the team. Their manager, Declan Hillard spoke to the children and thanked them for their support and encouraged them to play sports. He mentioned that most of the team were past pupils of the school and had been playing from an early age on various school teams. The captain, Aisling Roddy, herself a past pupil also spoke and agreed with Declan saying that she got her love of football from playing with the school. She encouraged both the girls and the boys to keep playing and that some day they too could win a trophy and come back and visit the school!
