WHY RECYCLE USED BATTERIES?
Batteries are made from important resources and chemicals. Each battery that is recycled is taken apart and many of the materials will be used to make new batteries or indeed lots of other items.
Here in our school we collect old batteries and the money that is made from recycling them goes towards providing a fun holiday for very sick children in Barretstown. Already this year we have filled three boxes of used batteries for this very worthy cause. Please help us to continue with this and bring your used batteries to school after Christmas.
