Dynamites Blitz Finalists

Dynamites Blitz Finalists

Well done to our boy’s basketball team who were runners up in the recent Dynamites Club Tournament, involving 10 teams from Louth. On Monday they met their match with Killanny NS. A tough and physical match was fought bravely by both sides. Our boys never gave up and managed to win by one just basket. They played St. Joseph’s in the final who all train with the Dynamites.  This didn’t deter the boys and like true warriors they battled until the bitter end, losing narrowly 14-9.  Despite having a greater proportion of possession it didn’t transfer on the score sheet! Although having beaten them in the league earlier, luck was not on their side! Many of the boys were commended as future basketball stars and they were all invited to sign up with the club. Aaron won the Golden Ticket which entitles him to a year’s free membership worth €140. The boys were also presented with beautiful runner’s up medals. Overall it was a great experience playing on a full sized court with trained referees from the Dynamites Club and we thank them for the invite, organising it and promoting such a wonderful game! It will take both Ms Clarke and Ms Conroy a while to recover from the excitement and stress. They too are naturally disappointed but so proud of how the boys gave 110%, how they never gave up and for their good manners and sportsmanship.
