Energize: Junior Achievement Programme

For the first time ever, our 6th classes were lucky to participate in the Junior Achievement Programme Energize, a partnership between JA and Gas Networks Ireland. It explores the world of science and engineering in a fun and exciting way. Ms Clarke and Ms Conroy delivered modules on health and wellbeing, energy and safety. Pamela Dagg our facilitator from Louth County Council introduced the children to work of the council, forensics and light, all in a fun and exciting way. Some activities that the children engaged in were,  how to make a periscope, mirror writing, chromatography to solve crimes and safety in the home particularly around gas. Hopefully our students will continue with science in secondary and beyond! Many thanks to Pamela, JA and our teachers for organising this.
