On Friday we were delighted to welcome a visitor to our class to celebrate Engineers Week. Already well known to some, Adrian Corcoran (Esmé’s dad!) is a Chartered Civil Engineer at one of Ireland’s top Construction companies, Walls Construction. He kindly gave up some of his time to talk to us about what he does, engineering in general and how important engineers are in the world we live in.
At the end of the talk Adrian had a challenge for the pupils which required critical thinking, planning, team work and construction. Thank you very much Adrian – you may well have encouraged some future engineers to pursue a career in the field down the line!
