Welcome back to all our students and Green School committee 2019/20. We hope you had a lovely Halloween break and continued with your good recycling habits .
What a wonderful occasion it was at the end of September when Mr. Declan Breathnach officially raised our seventh Green School Flag. Now, we are starting our two year quest to achieve our eighth Greenschool Flag. The theme for this flag is Global Citizenship, The Marine Environment. We are looking forward to learning all about the threats to our coast,sea and shore and what we can do to combat the dangers to our marine environment.
Pictured above is our Greenschool Committee along with Jack,our SNA, who recently planted a tree to mark Climate Change Action Week. We have also been very busy conducting a school wide survey to determine our usage for school lunches, of single use plastic bottles versus reusable plastic containers.
The results,shown below,are encouraging! Well done all and keep recyling!
