Last Friday we celebrated a spooky Halloween in St Mary’s NS as the pupils and teachers dressed up in scary costumes for the last day before the mid-term break! Before we had our October Assembly, the pupils of 1st and 2nd classes had a creepy Halloween disco in the Halla!
The Halla was then filled with ghouls and goblins as we held our monthly school gathering. Master had lots of announcements and notices as prizes were handed out from the previous week’s activities during Maths Week. Mrs Farren spoke about all the goings on with the Green School Committee while Ms Finnegan formally announced the members of this year’s Student Council.
The pupils’ achievements were then called out as we awarded the student and person of the month awards.
Finally, the 12 prize winners with the best costumes of the day were awarded as judged by the new Student Council.
