As our school promotes a Catholic ethos, we place great importance on the preparation of our pupils for the church Sacraments. During their time in our school, children are prepared for the Sacrament of First Penance, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

The parish plays an important role in the preparation for these Sacraments and invite the children involved to take part at weekend mass through the Do This In Memory programme for Communion classes and leading the congregation during prayers of the faithful for the Confirmation classes.

Our school choir enhances the ceremonies and our Parents and Friends Association get involved in the organisation of celebrations afterwards. Parents of children in 1st class help every year with the special party in Halla Setanta for the First Communion children and their families. First Holy Communion usually takes place in May each year.
