The boys and girls in Ms. Finnegan’s Junior Infants enjoyed their first Aistear month of the year. In our role play corner we set up a home and took on roles of various family members. The children were very imaginative in their role and took it very seriously! They enjoyed the cooking, cleaning, looking after the baby and also watching tv!
In other areas of Aistear we tried construction (creating imaginative houses using blocks), oral language work and worked on our fine motor and gluing skills.
They are all very excited to try out the Aistear role play area for October as our Aistear corner has transformed into a Spooky Potions lab.
